  1. I've been slightly concerned with my PT lately. They raised the question at my first visit this week, and I really didn't know how to respond. "Have you returned to sports yet?" I'm only 7 weeks out from my ACL hamstring reconstruction. My doctor told me that he didn't want me running on a treadmill until 10 weeks, so I'm very confused why my PT is telling me otherwise. Of course my PT then told me, "Well, obviously nothing where you are cutting or stopping short." I want to sarcastically tell them I returned to the thrilling sport of darts or perhaps beer pong when I see him tomorrow. I've read a few blogs and I don't recall anyone running so soon. I'm pretty sure I should trust my body at this point and not push myself. I was wondering when everyone else "returned to sports" and just what those "sports" were.

  2. I would be concerned with your PT too! I would like to get back to running and I've been told not until 4 months after surgery (maybe sooner on a treadmill.) I'm only two weeks out so not much to offer in terms of my own return to activity but just wanted to agree that it was an odd question.

  3. I am at 14 weeks and still not running. I believe I was told 4 months or so too. My PT told me the general test is when you can stand on your bad knee and hop on it. Single leg.
