  1. January 28th is my surgery. The doctor says it will take about 2 -2.5 hours. I decided to go with allograft and I hope I made the right decision. I am pretty confident that I did though. He isn't going to give me a CPM machine since it's an allograft nor did he require any pre-surgery bloodwork (but I am relatively healthy) *knocks wood*.

How long does the surgery usually take??

  2. Congratulations on the date! I recently got mine…January 20. I am doing the allograft (patellar tendon). My doctor says that given my age, health, etc., this is the best way to go. Cadaver graft fail 25% of the time for those under 40. I will be in a CPM for 23 hours a day for a week. I am told that it is about 2 hours on the table.

    Good luck!
    Mike

  3. Thanks! I am doing cadaver because most of my activity was in the gym and I am not afraid to hold off 4+ months to let the cadaver graft really take hold. I hope I've got that 75% on my side!
